Got a new phone

Just got a new Samsung Blackjack. And I just could not open the battery cover to fiddle around with the SIM. I'm not the kind of guy who normally has problems opening jam jars and the like, mind you, but I just couldn't get the damn thing off.
So I finally got onto the information super highway and voila...

Flip the phone face down (keys down) with the bottom of phone away from you (camera lens closer to you) and hold in left hand.Put left thumb on the little bump/groove at the top of battery cover.Put your right PALM in the middle of the battery cover and your right fingertips on the bottom (key side) edge of the phone.Apply pressure to the middle of the battery cover with your right palm bracing the bottom of the phone against your right fingertips (in the direction of sliding the cover off) and simultaneously push down with your left thumb on the groove at the top of the battery cover. It should come right off without much force, if you do it right...

Yahoo answers is addictive

So recently, I've gotten on to this new thing- Yahoo Answers. You can surf the news sites only so much time. So here's this forum which lets you give your answers to all the world's problems. Granted I feel somewhat funny sometimes when I realise how much high school math I don't remember anymore. But hey, then there's this whole section where you can comment on other people dating lives. WOW!
So right now I'm at level 2, a respected wise man whose answers have been chosen "Best Answer" 10 times. Ha! Sigh! Level 7 is so far. far away.

MLK Day

Today was MLK day. Lazy day, spent at home. Had snowed last night, was a bit chilly. Finally went out in the afternoon for a bit, grocery shopping. What a boring life.
Sehwag and Dravid set all types of records batting yesterday, might set some more today. But the test is useless now, will be a draw.
Need to finish off all work in about a week, then am going on vacation to HK. Scuba diving and what not, sounds good.

Run in with SpyAxe

Had a major run-in with SpyAxe earlier this year. Its supposedly an anti-spyware tool. But it installs itself on your m/c wihtout your permission and then just doesn't go away. No matter how many times I deleted the installation and cleaned up the registry, it always came back. Went to the Norton website, McCafee website, they'd heard of it, but couldn't cure anything from what they said.
Finally took a chance and downloaded a fix from a forum. Worked this time. SpyAxe is gone. Thanks to Naohdfear.
Best preventive measure is don't access the internet from an administrator a/c, don't give them a chance to download and install.

U.S airstrike in Pakistan

Its amazingly arrogant that the U.S. would have an air strike in a supposedly allied country without keeping them informed. Thought everybody kept saying that Pakistan was an ally was helping the US to track down the bad guys. Of course, I don't know if in fact the Pakistani military was informed and kept quiet about it. Its nasty. And nothing came of it. In hindsight it is a failure, with no redeeming quality.

Time is going by too fast

Heard a really neat song today.

100 Years from the album The Battle for Everything performed by Five For Fighting
I'm fifteen for a momentCaught between ten and twentyAnd I'm just dreamin'Counting the ways to where you are.
I'm twenty two for a momentAnd she feels better than everAnd where won't find yourMaking her way back from mine.
[Chorus]Fifteen, there's still time for you.Time to buy and time to loose.Fifteen is never a wish better than this. When you only got a hundred years to live.
I'm thirty three for a moment.I'm still the man that you see on the bayA kid on way babeA family on my mind.
I'm forty five for a moment. The sea is high and I'm heading throughAll crosses Chasing the years of my life.
[Chorus]Fifteen, there's still time for you.Time to buy and time to loose yourself. But then the morning starts.Fifteen, I'm alright with you.Fifteen is never a wish better than this. When you only got a hundred years to live.
How the time goes bySuddenly you'll riseAnother blink of an eyeSix seven is gone. The sun is gettin' high. We're moving on.
I'm ninety nine for a momentTime for just a moment. And I'm just dreamin'Counting the ways to where you are.
[Chorus]Fifteen, there's still time for you.Twenty two, I feel her too.Thirty Three alone away.Everyday's a new day.
Fifteen, there's still time for you.Time to buy and time to choose.Hey, fifteen is never a wish better than this. When you only got a hundred years to live.

Away again

Am in the US again on a project. No more bike rides for some time. Worst part of being here in NY is the Winter, can't do much in the Winter, at least nothing I'm familiar with. Is just too cold to play football or go biking here.

France won

The French cock ate the English rose. Remember that from an old French text book. Zidane and team beat Beckham and team in their recent match in Euro 2004. Yippe Yai Kay... I hope its not going to be like the World Cup.
